Been asked by a friend of mine to do an edit project for a Lavender Farm in the South West. I must admit I haven’t edited for a while and am excited about getting stuck in, already looked through rushes and really looking forward to it. It’s the first lot of footage I’ve edited that’s been shot purely on 5D so interested in seeing how the edit software will cope. Lots of lovely shots to choose from and I’ve already asked for an acoustic track to be recored and produced thanks to a great musical contact in Bristol. Got a nice flexible deadline also in time for some festivals at the end of the year so can pace myself and not rush! Always a bonus! Looking forward to showing the finished films and posting on vimeo!
Working From Home
First day of remote working as part of my current job position, don’t get me wrong I’m used to working from home, but it’s always been for personal or freelance projects. First thing to do I think is to set up a proper working area, currently perched in the kitchen with a nice distracting window looking out onto the high street. I have always worked in this spot living at this house, whether it be for degree, editing, paper work or e-mails etc…there’s just something about it!

Heaven’s Secret into Cambridge Film Festival
A short film I helped on last year has made it into this years Cambridge Film Festival! Well done to Ed Wiles for entering this in to so many great film festivals, it’s a shame I don’t live closer to pop along and see it!

Holiday Hijack
Back at the start of the year I assisted with location filming for the 6th episode of Holiday Hijack set in the UK. Although mainly wet it was a really enjoyable experience, especially getting to meet such lovely people along the way. There was a lot of driving and errands to run but I’m really looking forward to seeing the final result on Channel 4 this evening. This is also the first programme to feature some GV’s I shot, look out for some China Town, Brick Lane etc etc shots towards the end!

Dirty Sexy Things
Please to see that E4’s Dirty Sexy Things is getting a lot of positive feedback, many friends of mine work on the programe and I was able to help out on an episode as a runner a while back. Really great show which looks super slick, had a lot of fun helping out on this one. The location we were shooting at was a massive house in Kent which will is feature on a later episode. Really great fun to be part of, and a fantastic team producing! Can’t wait to see more episodes! You can watch them all here: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/dirty-sexy-things

Film Screened at Cannes Short Film Corner Today!
Well today’s the day and much as I’d love to be in Cannes with the lovely Rich and Tim, I’m in good ol London working! Fortunately director Rich and cinematographer Tim have been keeping a video diary along the way so we all don’t feel too left out! Here Rich explains how the screening went! The film has now been accepted into a film festival run by One Shot Entertainment in Dublin, so will look forward to that!
